Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens plays a key role in Phosphate adsorbtion via the glycolosis metabolic pathway. Nutrients are carried into plant cells by PEP group translocation or PTS. Nutrient uptake is enhanced through the ion conducting pores  that the bacteria create.

The ion conducting pores in turn facilitate increased uptake of essential plant ions such as Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Silica.

Bacteria create a Biofilm disease shield around the roots.
